A short film and its behind-the-scenes special kicks off a multi-faceted art project

Please join us for the launch of When We Gather, a multi-faceted art project envisioned by María Magdalena Campos-Pons in collaboration with Okwui Okpokwasili and LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs that is meant to celebrate the role of women in ushering in sweeping political change and progress across the United States.

The project includes a 5-minute art film directed by Codie Elaine Oliver (Black Love, OWN) and a 35-minute special, titled When We Gather: Together, which contextualizes the themes of the film: heal, unite, create. The program features creative conversations, diverse performances, and behind-the-scenes interviews with the director, performers, and an array of arts and education professionals.
