Janet Stapleton, Public Relations Consultant, has worked in the dance and performance field as an independent producer, arts management consultant, and public relations specialist for three decades. She founded Janet Stapleton Public Relations in 2000, a boutique communications and PR firm that represents artists, cultural institutions, and select special events. Recent clients include the Baryshnikov Arts Center, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Martha Graham Dance Company, Okwui Okpokwasili, Richard Move, Yasuko Yokoshi, Ralph Lemon/Cross Performance, Emily Johnson, and the Bessie Awards. She was the publicist for the NY citywide festivals: DANSE: A French-American Festival of Performance and Ideas, and Queer NY International Arts Festival. Prior to forming Janet Stapleton PR, she was the director of marketing and public relations at Dance Theater Workshop.
